This town may have the same zip code as Newport, but it does stand on its own. Croydon residents have a real sense of community, which can be witnessed at the Coniston General Store, at the neighborly celebration by the residents of Cash Street or during the tug of war at Croydon Community Day. There’s also a YMCA Camp Coniston in town, creating a community of campers year after year.

Park near the Croydon Historical Society (CHS) building on Route 10 on a publicized day in August, and you’ll see a tractor parade. Once they finish the route and park Between the historical society and the town hall, you can ask questions and, if you are lucky, a chance to sit in the driver's seat. Hot dogs and ice cream are free to all, and you can take a tour, also free, of the Samuel Morse House Museum.

Located on nearly 70 acres in scenic Croydon, New Hampshire, Page Farm is a family-owned working farm and multi-purpose outdoor venue for concerts, performances, festivals and other events.

Standing around on a frozen body of water may not be your idea of fun, but ice fishing on Spectacle Pond in Croydon isn’t just about the fish. It’s about friends and neighbors, too. Located on Route 10, near the fire station, Spectacle Pond becomes an ad hoc winter meeting place when folks gather around the fishing holes. So don’t be shy about taking a walk on the ice and saying “hello.”

There’s one stop in Croydon for food, and that’s the Coniston General Store at 870 Route 10. Grab a snack or a breakfast sandwich from the grill.
