At the turn of the century, affluent city-dwellers packed up their households and traveled by steam train to spend the summer in Georges Mills. Vacations are a bit shorter these days, but folks still enjoy the charming village of Georges Mills and its quaint location tucked between the shores of Lake Sunapee and Otter Pond.

Got your Safe Boater Education Certificate? Sargents Marina has a wide selection of rental boats — electric boats, pontoon boats and ski boats, to name a few — and water sports equipment so you can enjoy the clear, crystal waters of Lake Sunapee.

Georges Mills General Store, located on Route 11, has daily specials like hamburgers, tacos, soups and salads. Local products — such as wine and maple syrup — are featured throughout the store.
