  • Donít leave without stopping by Deck Dock for that one-of-a-kind piece for your home or garden.

Sunapee's Rock Bass Fishing Derby is typically held the first Saturday in August. It is a one day event; participants start whenever they want in the morning, and bring their fish to the harbor for weigh in between 12 and 1 p.m. (Pleasant Lake in Elkins has a derby that runs throughout the summer; participants turn in tails at the end of six weeks.) Prizes, donated by local businesses, are awarded to the person who catches the smallest or the largest fish as well as the team that catches the most fish.

Want a different view of Sunapee? Mount Sunapee Sky Rides are available between June and October. A family of four can easily share a chair to take a trip up the mountain to view the Lake Sunapee/Kearsarge area from a different perspective. Be sure to bring the camera.

The Anchorage Restaurant is a local tradition. Sit out on the water with your pub fare ó including an award-winning chowder ó to watch the boats launch and dock. Just donít feed the ducks!
