People try to label the area “Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee” but we firmly believe that Dartmouth (Hanover) and Sunapee are two separate areas. The Upper Valley encompasses 50+ towns (including Hanover) on both sides (New Hampshire and Vermont) of the Connecticut River. The Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee area, starting in Grantham, consists of 15+ towns surrounding mountains, lakes, conservation areas and farmland in New Hampshire.

Amtrak has several stops in New Hampshire near the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee area, including Concord on 30 Stickney Street, Claremont on Plains Road/Maple Avenue and Tilton on US Highway 3.

The Concord Municipal Airport features a 6,000-foot runway and a cross-wind runway, full navigation support systems; Jet Fuel and AVGAS, aircraft maintenance, storage and tie-down capacity. It is considered the best general aviation airport in the state. Corporate hangar space and private T-hangars are available.

The station in Concord provides a close link to the Kearsarge/Concord area, and there is also a station in Tilton and a bus stop (no services) in Hanover.
